The dynamic, hands-on duo of Mike & Sheila Bruegge brought the Ashley Furniture HomeStore concept to Champaign, Illinois, in 2006, and the couple hasn't looked back since. Driven to help Central Illinois residents create their dream homes, Mike & Sheila opened a second Peoria location in 2010 and not much later came the Bloomington HomeStore in 2013. A centrally located distribution center also opened in Normal, Illinois, in 2011 to ensure efficient delivery to our customers. Together, these four entities comprise Ashley Furniture HomeStores (AFHS) of Central Illinois, which are locally owned and operated by Mike & Sheila’s Bruegge & Co.

 

Mike & Sheila Bruegge carry on a furniture legacy that began in 1876 when Mike's great grandfather left Germany seeking the American dream as a furniture maker. Over the last 140 years, Bruegge & Co. has worked tirelessly using their furniture expertise to help fellow Illinoisans create their own American dream. Today, Bruegge & Co. continues as AFHS of Central Illinois, and, we strive to be the best furniture stores in Central Illinois. We are committed to helping customers create their dream homes by building an employee base that thrives on the same idea.
